Adair Ltd accepts that it has a responsibility to the principles of sustainability and environmental awareness. and recognises the social and economic importance of protecting the environment; that its commitment to this must encompass all activities and that it should be prepared to lead by example in promoting a sensitive, considered attitude to the environment.

Adair’s Environmental Management System is integrated into Adair’s Handbook and requirements are mandatory and all company personnel have a responsibility and obligation to it.

For these reasons we are committed:

  • To achieve good environmental standards in all activities including the reduction, re-use, recycling and disposal of waste.
  • To make economic use of energy, water and transport usage to minimize waste in all aspects of the business function.
  • To regularly assess the environmental impact resulting from business operations and to remain fully informed of recognised best practices, to assist in improving our environmental performance.
  • To meet all relevant legislative requirements.
  • To achieve Net Zero by 2050 by means of our Carbon Reduction Plan.
  • To communicate this Environmental and Sustainability Policy and Action Plan updates to all interested parties including customers, suppliers and employees, encouraging their active involvement in environmental issues.

The Management has the overall and final responsibility for the Environmental and Sustainability Policy and the co-ordination, implementation and monitoring of the policy throughout the organisation.

The policy will be reviewed annually or as and when necessary and updates cascaded throughout the company.

This policy forms part of the Adair Employee Handbook issued to all new employees and  communicated to at induction.  It is also available to all employees on the company intranet. The company website displays this policy and is available to interested parties upon request.

Policies are regularly updated and employees are kept informed of any updates.
