Independent Expert Witness

Adair was appointed as an independent expert witness to provide a Part 35 Compliant Expert Witness report responding to the claimant and opposing expert report in adjudication. It was alleged that the negligence of the contract administrator resulted in the increase in the contract value from £1.5M to £3.5M. The role involved preparing an expert witness report defending the claim brought against the defendant for the increased cost within the adjudication. The adjudicator agreed with the report and awarded the claimant none of the costs being claimed.
