Adam works in the dispute resolution team, assisting experts in report writing, defect analysis, forensic quantity surveying and document management. Adam has assisted on over 20 expert witness cases and attends mediations, adjudication hearings and trials on a regular basis. His focus is on advising on the quantum of claims, providing cost advice on repair solutions for disputes, and preparing costings.
Ed has a BSc (Hons) in Business Management from the University of East Anglia and has since completed an MSc in Building Surveying at Kingston University. This included subjects such as building pathology, contract law, building regulations and sustainable construction technologies.
Ed will help deliver the full range of building surveying services, including condition surveys, dilapidations, and reinstatement cost assessments. He will principally focus on commercial and residential properties for developers, asset managers and private clients.
Guy is an apprentice Building Surveyor sponsored by Adair to study a masters in building surveying in September. Guy assists the Building Surveyor team with tender documents and will begin to work on projects for local authorities including drawings and specifications.
Joanna will develop the company marketing strategy and have overall responsibility for the marketing budget. She will follow up new business opportunities and oversee Adair’s networking events, hospitality, communications, brand image and PR activities.
Her strategic support will contribute to the continued growth of the company and maintain its excellent reputation.
Kazumba joins Adair as Senior Project Monitoring Surveyor. Key duties and responsibilities include liaising with third party teams including valuers and solicitors, preparing initial audit reports, attending site meetings and carrying out inspections and preparing interim progress reports including certifying drawdowns and assessment of cost to complete.
Michael graduated with a LLB from the University of Exeter.
Michael has gained experience through internships at multiple city law firms. He uses his knowledge to support the dispute team as it assists clients through their claim procedures in adjudications, meditations and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
James is a Senior Consultant working with the building surveying team and also acts as an expert witness for construction claims and as a single joint expert.
His responsibilities include conducting pre-acquisition due diligence surveys, project management and project monitoring, preparing schedules of condition, tendering and contract administration and preparing dilapidations schedules and measurement surveys. James also heads up the party wall surveying team.
Helen Preest is the Executive Assistant to Founder and CEO Justin Sullivan. Helen was formerly a Chartered member of the Institute for Legal Executives and worked with a number of highly respected city law firms. Helen has an exceptional legal and property background with an emphasis on outstanding customer service.
At Adair, Helen is responsible for maintaining strong communication and working relationships across the business, liaising with key staff and organisations.
Leanne is an experienced Quantity Surveyor with over 5 years experience in the delivery of projects across both the residential and leisure sectors from inception to completion delivering projects both pre and post contract.
Leanne has experience working with clients to develop and deliver a variety of projects including large scale mixed use residential schemes, private residential refurbishments, high end store fit outs, and football stadium works. Her particular areas of expertise are: Procurement incl. package procurement, Employer’s Agent services, traditional quantity surveying, cost planning, value management and engineering, risk management and post contract cost control and reporting.
Tendai Mandizvidza MRICS joins Adair as Senior Project Monitoring Surveyor. Tendai has an impressive 15 years of experience providing cost management and project monitoring services in a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, hotel & leisure, education and student accommodation. Tendai has acted as representative for a number of big banks and lenders including Coutts, Barclays and Natwest.

David Featherstone is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of CIBSE with over 40 years experience in Building Services Engineering consultancy and management with a Mechanical HVAC specialist background. Regularly acting as an Expert Witness/Independent Technical Expert with extensive experience across construction sectors including residential, commercial, hotels, education, health, retail and industrial. David is also an expert in leading carbon emissions studies, including carbon neutral buildings and sustainability strategies.
Igor is an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor sponsored by Adair to study at the University of Westminster. Igor assists the Quantity Surveyor team with cost plans, producing measurements and tender documents along with other services.
Ryan is an apprentice Quantity Surveyor sponsored by Adair to study at the University of Westminster. Ryan assists on the delivery of a range of Quantity Surveying services on residential projects for private clients and developers.
Simon is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 25 years in the construction industry. He specialises in FIDIC contracts and has acted on behalf of Multi-National Companies, Main Contractors and Subcontractors in large scale, complex, multi-million pound projects across the country in a wide range of sectors.
His expertise covers major claims, defences, PFI procurement management, disputes management/avoidance, client commissions, project funding, statutory adjudication, project controls, difficult final accounts, design & build, lifecycle cost modelling, financial risk modelling, value management and estimation. Simon has in the last two years produced and completed 8 adjudications all for subcontractors against main contractors. He has also produced the valuation of a counter claim in an adjudication for a developer against a contractor.
Simon has produced 2 expert reports and assisted in the production of a further report. He has recently produced the narrative for two rail industry claims and has experience with the Network suite of contracts including consultancy and target cost contracts and was the lead surveyor on a large expert level manual measure.
