Richard is a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 20 year construction consultancy experience, 10 of which were spent acting for banks and other funders. He has extensive experience working within bank real estate teams as the provider of in-house technical expertise. He completed an MBA in 2005 and is widely recognised for his knowledge of Risk Mitigation in the PFI Field.
Richard began his career at Currie & Brown as a Project Surveyor rising to Partner running the Bank Monitoring service working on Commercial development and PFI projects throughout the UK and in South Africa. Richard has worked as a Director for a number of high profile companies including Deutsche Bank and Turner & Townsend as well as Head of Real Estate Finance for the Bank of London and the Middle East. For the last 10 years he has worked in various Project lending roles heading up teams at BLME and more recently Oblix Capital as Development director where he looked after all Development lending and all direct clients including bridging for direct clients. Richard was responsible for book building towards £100m and increasing the average size of loans from £2m to £5m and deals from £1m to £26m.
At Adair, Richard heads up the Project Monitoring team based in Mayfair.
